Kishalay Foundation’s Child Nutrition Program focuses on ensuring that children in remote and vulnerable communities receive the nourishment they need for healthy growth and development. Good nutrition is a fundamental right, and strengthening it is central to our work across West Bengal.

The Importance of Early Nutrition

No country can aspire to social and economic development without addressing malnutrition. Poor nutrition during the first 1000 days of a child’s life can lead to stunted growth, impaired cognitive development, and reduced learning and work potential.

Our Holistic Child Care - Farm-to-Child Nutrition Model

Prevention of malnutrition among underprivileged children is a priority for Kishalay Foundation. With this intent, the Foundation adopts a holistic child care approach where a nutritious diet forms a vital component of our Early Education and Child Development Programs.

To ensure a consistent supply of healthy food, Kishalay Foundation has developed organic local farms managed by local farmers. These farms grow clean, chemical-free grains and vegetables specifically for children enrolled in our Early Education Centres and Sports Academies.

Daily Nutritious Meals for Growth and Learning

Children across our centres receive regular portions of nutritious food that support both physical and cognitive development. A strong nutrition foundation enables children to stay active, attentive, and better prepared for learning.

By supporting Kishalay Foundation’s Child Nutrition Program, you contribute directly to the health, learning capacity, and long-term well-being of children in underserved communities.
